Ace versus KISS at "Download"
(Wednesday, April 30, 2008) UK Classic Rock Magazine has published some classy comments by Ace's former bandmates about whether he would join them on stage for an encore, like Joe Perry did on a couple of occassions in 2003. Considering the Ace and KISS dates have now been separated the point is irrelevant, but somewhat sad.

(Monday, April 28, 2008) For American fans, Ace will be hitting the road for round-two of his 2008 "Rocket Ride" tour. The fun commences Friday (May 2) at the The National Theatre in Richmond, VA with two special guests.

(Saturday, April 19, 2008) Ace's publicist, Kayos Productions has issued the following statement on Ace's behalf: "First and foremost, Ace would like to thank all of his fans for their support on his most recent tour. Throughout the course of this Rocket Ride, people have requested ways they could meet Ace. We may have found a way of satisfying that craving, and will be trying it out in Nashville on May 22. If all goes well, we will continue this throughout the rest of the tour. Stay tuned."

Ace's '78 solo album reissue...
(Tuesday, April 8, 2008) Ace's legendary 1978 solo album (Universal UICY-93531) will be reissued in Japan on June 25. The reissue will be in the SHM format. SHM-CDs are simply Super High Material that "features enhanced audio quality through the use of a special polycarbonate plastic. Using a process developed by JVC and Universal Music Japan discovered through the joint companies' research into LCD display manufacturing, SHM-CDs feature improved transparency on the data side of the disc, allowing for more accurate reading of CD data by the CD player laser head. SHM-CD format CDs are fully compatible with standard CD players" (CD Japan). The CDs will be housed in mini-LP style sleeves.
Ace completes US tour...
(Saturday, April 05, 2008 ) Ace Frehley completed the first proper leg of his US tour last night in his home town of New York City. In front of a packed house, Ace ripped through the solid set of material from his history. Ace's powerful and tight performances have been receiving rave reviews from the fans, impressed by Ace's return to form. Ace's next stop is England for two shows. He has another batch of US dates scheduled for May, before his first ever solo shows on mainland Europe.
